The Buena Vista women's track and field team wrapped up the IIAC Outdoor Championships inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium on Saturday afternoon with two more all-conference performances on Saturday afternoon, giving them three overall.
Madison Spear took second in the 100m hurdles (14.62) and was third in the 400m hurdles (1:04.14). It marked the first time she broke 15 seconds in the 100 and she was only .11 seconds from the winning time. Her 400m hurdle time was also a personal best by .70 seconds.
Mallory Spear had a tough finish to her championship career, settling for fifth in the 200m dash (24.97) and seventh in the 100m dash. Both times were less than a half-second off the winning time in what was a fast field in both finals races.
Brooke Runneberg was the third all-conference performer for BVU, as she tied for second in the high jump on Friday morning.
The 4x100 relay took sixth with its best time of 48.78 and missing the all-conference pace by just over .50 seconds. The 4x400 was seventh.
Buena Vista finished with 36.50 points to take seventh. It was 10 points back of Central for sixth. Wartburg College captured its 18th straight outdoor women's title with 212.50 points. Loras was second at 174.50.
