Central College scored twice in the first 15 minutes, before adding a third goal early in the second half, as the Dutch went on to defeat the Buena Vista women's soccer team, 3-0, on Wednesday evening inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium.
The Dutch outshout the Beavers, 11-2, in the first half, including goals during the 11th and 13th minutes, respectively. Central added 17 more shots over the final 45 minutes as it moved to 10-4-1 on the year and 4-2 during conference play.
Senior McKenna Whitehill registered four of BVU's five shots in the contest with three coming on-goal. She nearly got the Beavers on the board after winning a 50-50 ball at about the 10-yard line, but her shot attempt over the Central keeper was kicked just high.
McKeely Tjaden got the start in-goal for the Beavers and went the distance, posting 19 saves.
Buena Vista falls to 1-13 overall (0-6 A-R-C) and hits the road for the final time this season on Saturday when it travels to the University of Dubuque for a 1:00 p.m. contest with the Spartans.
