The Buena Vista women's soccer team was held to just two shots on Sunday as it hosted Grinnell College, as the Pioneers scored three first half goals en route to a 4-0 victory inside of J. Leslie Rollins Stadium.
Grinnell used its corner kick attempts to its advantage early on in the contest, breaking a scoreless tie during the 19th minute off a nice header from a corner kick before doubling the score of another corner kick just seven minutes later. The Pioneers added their third goal of the half with less than two minutes to play, and then would add the final of the contest midway through the second half.
Grinnell outscored BVU 22-2 in the contest while holding the Beavers to just one shot-on-goal. BVU is still looking to score its first goal of the year on its home field.
The loss drops Buena Vista to 1-3 overall, It will look to bounce back next Saturday afternoon when it hosts UW-Platteville at 2:00pm.
