Buena Vista trailed just 2-0 at the break, but Central College opened the second half with three goals in the first 15 minutes, and a late goal by the Beavers wasn't enough as they fell to the Dutch, 5-1.
The Dutch scored the first goal of the day less than a minute into play before adding the second just 10 minutes later. Central held BVU without a shot in the first half while posting five of its own on-goal.
Caroline Maher's team-leading eight goal of the year came during the 69' and proved to be the team's only shot of the contest.
Rachel Novotny went the distance in-goal, finishing with six saves.
Buena Vista is now 2-13-1 overall (0-6 IIAC) and will return to action on Saturday evening when it hosts the University of Dubuque in the home finale starting at 5:30 p.m., following the home BVU football game against Nebraska Wesleyan.
