The Buena Vista women's soccer team played its final home match of the season on Wednesday afternoon as it hosted Central College, but it was the Dutch who went on to capture the victory, 3-0.
Central got on the board midway through the first half when it sent a pass beyond midfield which was then contained from nearly 45 yards out leading to a breakaway shot from 15 yards from the right side of the box.
That's how things stood until two minutes into the second half before the Dutch added another insurance goal late in the 59'.
Central (13-2, 5-1 IIAC) held a 17-0 margin in total shots in the contest with nine of those coming on goal.
Buena Vista is now 3-11-1 overall (0-6 IIAC) and will be on the road for its final two matches of the year, starting with Saturday's visit to Cedar Rapids to play Coe College (9-7-1, 2-4 IIAC) at 2:00pm.
