Scouting Each Team:
About Neb. Wesleyan: The P-Wolves picked up a win in their last dual out of the season against Concordia (Wis.) back on December 16. The team was last in action on January 6 at the Cusatis Open in Hastings, Neb. The last IIAC dual was a tough 21-18 loss against the University of Dubuque also on December 16. Heavyweight Justin Hennessey is the team-leader in wins this season with 10 and is 33-25 in his career. A handful of individuals are right behind him on the year with Ben Lodema next at seven wins. He's also the only other wrestler on the roster with at least 20 career victories. Through three IIAC duals in 2017-18, the team has been held to only six individual victories.
About Buena Vista:The Beavers are back in action after suffering a tough 46-6 IIAC loss at #5 Loras this past Friday. Juniors Brad Kerkhoff and Shane Vaughan have been two of the team's leaders this season and have a combined 76 career wins. Kerkhoff was the team's lone winner against the Duhawks, picking up a second period fall at 157 pounds. Freshman John Tuttle (149) is tied for third on the team with seven wins so far this season. Vaughan and Kevin Pape are tied for the team lead with five pins apiece.
Up Next: After Wednesday's dual, the Beavers will take part in the Cornell Matman Invitational this Saturday (Jan. 14) in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Action is scheduled to get underway at 9:00 a.m.
