The Buena Vista women's basketball team begins its second half of the Iowa Conference schedule on Saturday evening as it looks to avenge an earlier loss to Simpson College which tipped-off the IIAC schedule.

About Simpson: The Storm had dropped back-to-back games before cruising to an 89-74 road win at Central on Wednesday night. Jenna Taylor poured in a game-high 33 points to lead the way. Noreen During IIAC play, Noreen Morrow ranks fourth in the league in scoring (17.3ppg) and fifth in rebounding (7.6rpg). She is a two-time all-conference performer and leads the way in free-throw percentage at better than 91 percent. Victoria Hazard is also averaging double figures during IIAC play and is fifth in the league in assists per contest (4.0). The Storm rank second in scoring against IIAC foes at 77.5ppg. They are also second in both field goal percentage (.455) and three-point percentage (.370).
About BVU: Buena Vista is looking to end a season-long three-game losing streak. It's coming off a tough 76-52 home loss to Luther College on Wednesday night when it couldn't overcome 28 turnovers in the contest. Despite the rough stretch, the Beavers continue to shoot the ball well, averaging 71.0ppg and rank fourth in field goal percentage (.428) and third in three-point percentage (.362). The difference has come at the free-throw line and in ball control. As a team, BVU is shooting only 55.7 percent from the charity stripe which is last in the league. It's also turning the ball over an average of 18.0 times a game while forcing 17. Jasmine Demers is averaging a team-high 19.9 points over the last eight games and is currently second in the league during IIAC play at 20.1ppg. Muhlbauer is tops in the league in three-point percentage (.542). Demers is second in rebounding with Claudia Larsen right behind in third. Larsen also broke the school's single-season record for blocks with five against the Norse. She now has 52 which surpassed the previous mark of 51 set back in 2010-11 by Jocelyn Kock.
