STORM LAKE - Buena Vista University softball player Brook Linderman has been named a Second Team All-American Rivers Conference Player in 2019 while teammate Kate Lesmeister is voted as an Honorable Mention selection.

She hit .324 overall in those contests and had at least one hit in all but five of the them. She doubled and drove in two runs against both Central and Simpson, finishing league play with three doubles and six RBI. She earns all-conference recognition for the first time in her career.
Lesmeister started all 16 conference games as a sophomore in 2019 and saw action both at third base and first base to earn recognition this year as a utility player. A Second Team selection as a freshman last season, she hit .333 during league play this season as a sophomore and recorded a pair of doubles and home runs and drove in nine runs. Defensively, she made just five errors in over 60 total chances.
This marks the eighth straight season the program has landed at least one all-conference selection.
