The Gusties, members of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, are on the road for the first time this season after splittling a pair of home contests to begin the year. They come in fresh off a narrow 71-68 victory against Northwestern-St. Paul on November 17 in which there were eight lead changes over the final four minutes. Riley Sharbono led three players who scored in double figures with 13 points. The team is shooting 43 percent from the field overall through two games and averaging 69.5 points. Defensively, the Gusties are allowing 80 points per game with opponents shooting over 50 percent from the field, including 37 percent from downtown. A pair of starters are back from that team, including Sharbono and Vannis Smith. Sharbono has been the team's leading scorer the past two seasons.

Buena Vista -
The Beavers picked up a big 100-91 win over Bethany Lutheran in their home and season opener on November 15. The team made 17-of-34 shots from downtown in that contest to help lift them over the Vikings, who were an NCAA Tournament team a season ago. BVU again shot 50 percent from long range (15-of-30) at No. 12 UW-Stevens Point on November 17, but it couldn't quite overcome 22 turnovers during an 87-72 loss. Junior Timothy Jeffries has poured in 21 points in each contest after having just one career 20-point game in his career entering the season. He is also second on the team with six three-point buckets (6-of-7). Dominc Sesma made his BVU debut against the Vikings and drilled a game-high seven three-point buckets, giving BVU a pair of 20-point scorers for the first time in six years. The Beavers are in the middle of playing four of their first five games this season inside Siebens Fieldhouse, a place where they've averaged nearly 10 home wins a year over the last decade.
The Gusties return back to St. Peter, Minn., to play host to Central College at 4:00pm on November 24. The Beavers, meanwhile, remain at home to host Elmhurst College on the 24th at 3:00 p.m.
