The Buena Vista football team looks to put last week's American Rivers Conference opening loss at Wartburg behind it as it returns home to host Coe College with a chance to get back on track and even its season record.

Coe -  The Kohawks look to bounce back following a 27-18 home loss a week ago to the University of Dubuque to begin American Rivers Conference play.  The team trailed 20-10 at halftime and was held to only a fourth-quarter touchdown in the second half.  For the year, Coe is averaging better than 22.0ppg and is having the majority of its success through the air with 233.0ypg.  On the ground, it's chipping in with 94.0ypg and has scored six rushing touchdowns compared to just three through the air.  Quentin White has started all three games under center and is completing 57.0 percent of his attempts for 677 yards and three scores while being intercepted five times.  Trevor Noble and Colton White have each recorded double-digit receptions and have one touchdown catch apiece.  Defensively, Coe has held opponents to under an average of 200.0ypg passing and just over 300 yards of total offense.  Justin Schwennen has already posted 8.0 tackles for a loss with a pair of sacks.  Terrance Hall leads the team with 22 tackles, including 12 solo to go along with a forced fumble, two sacks and a pass break-up.

Buena Vista -  The Beavers are back home for just the second time this season after back-to-back road games following its season-opening victory here against Hamline.  The team looks to bounce back in a big way after its 63-0 loss at Wartburg a week ago where it was held to just 100 yards of total offense.  In its first two games, the Beavers averaged over 330 yards passing but were limited to just 108 against the Knights.  Cole Miller has already attempted 97 pass attempts and has thrown for 725 yards and seven touchdowns.  Eric Pacheco has been the go-to target with 13 catches and five scores.  Chris Ramirez is next with 10 receptions and 60 yards. BVU looks to get the run game going after averaging only 33.0ypg through the first three outings.  Josh Werge is averaging just over 21.0ypg on 24 attempts and has the team's only rushing touchdown.  Defensively, Reed Kruse has a team-high 34 tackles with Colby Laughlin close behind at 26.  Quamaree Harris has a team-high 4.5 sacks with Jayvon Hill sitting at two interceptions.  As a unit, the Beavers have intercepted five passes and have posted 10 sacks.
