Adrian Davis Named BVU Defensive Line Coach

Adrian Davis begins his first season as a member of the Buena Vista football coaching staff in 2017 and will be the team's defensive line coach.

Davis brings a wealth of both coaching and playing experience to the program.  He spent this last season as the defensive line and special teams coordinator for the Arena Football League's (AFL) Nebraska Danger.

Prior to moving into the coaching ranks, he was also a player for the Danger from February 2012-July 2015.  He was an All-AFL player in 2013 and was part of three straight conference championships (2013-15).  He totaled 266 career tackles, 21.5 sacks and six interceptions.

He moved to the Danger coaching staff after having spent three years coaching at the high school level.  He was defensive line coach at Burke High School (Neb.) in 2015 after serving as defensive coordinator/defensive line coach at Northwest High School in Grand Island, Neb., in both 2013 & 2014.

A native of Rosenberg, Texas, Davis earned a scholarship to play football at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark. He went on to become a three-year starting defensive lineman for the Razorbacks and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team as a true freshman. He served as team captain in 2009-10 and led the defense in sacks twice.

Davis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sociology and criminal justice from the university in 2010.

Following his collegiate career, Davis spent one season playing for the St. Louis Rams organization.

In other duty changes to Mollring's staff, Darius Savage moves to offensive line coach following the departure of Kyle Otineru.
