Six BVU Student-Athletes Named to IIAC Winter All-Academic Team

The Iowa Conference announced its 2016-17 winter-sport All-Academic Team on Thursday, and six Buena Vista student-athletes were listed among the 124-member team.

Half of the Beaver selections came from men's basketball with two of the six from women's basketball.  The Beaver wrestling team landed the final honoree.

Across the league, 49 of the 124 members came from women's basketball with 32 from the men's side. 

For a student-athlete to be eligible for all-academic honors, he/she must be a member of the varsity team, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one full academic year at the current institution and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
