Women's Cross Country Takes Crown at the BVU Invite

Running its first 6k race of the year, the Buena Vista women's cross country team, despite being the only school to fill a complete team, ran solid times while taking the official team title at its own Invitational on Saturday out at Sunrise Pointe Golf Club.

Victoria Hodge reached the finish line first for BVU with a time of 27:10.08 and placed fourth.  Emily Hoesing crossed a minute later with Katie Puls 15 seconds behind her.  Maya Rowe and Tara Harris were separated by 20 seconds to round out the lineup.

Graceland's Kami Tabor claimed the individual title at 25:01.

Buena Vista is now off until competing in the Trent Smith Invite, hosted by NIAAC on October 13 at 4:30pm.
