Women's Cross Country Ends Season at Regional Championships

The Buena Vista women's cross country team concluded its season on Saturday morning at the Central Regional Championships in Northfield, Minn., hosted by Carleton College.

Sophomore Katie Puls led the Beavers with her time of 25:15 and a 136th place finish out of 218 total runners.  Kennedy Snyder was next at 27:30 with Maya Rowe close behind at 27:55.  Tara Harris crossed in just over 28:00.

Vernoica Tapia and Courtney Studer rounded out the line-up for the Beavers.

"Although our times weren't what we had expected going into the meet, the effort was clearly there, and that is what matters," said head coach Colt Slack.  "Every single one of these young ladies brings something special to the team and I can't express how proud I am in how they competed! They will each get several days off and we will come back ready to attack the track season."
