Dual Success: Junior Brad Kerkhoff is 3-0 this season in dual matches, including a win in his only IIAC outing.  He'll take the mat on Friday with a career overall 14-8 dual record and an 8-5 mark in IIAC matches (both are team-bests).

Scouting Each Team:

About Loras: The Duhawks continue to make big strides under second-year head coach TJ Miller.  The team has risen to the top-five in all of Division III and is the only unbeaten team in the Iowa Conference.  Loras is coming off a 3-0 performance at the Gator Duals where it knocked off a pair of top-10 teams (#8 Baldwin Wallace and #9 Ferrum) back on December 16.  Three wrestlers have reached 15 wins on the year.  Nearly half of the 202 individual victories for the team this season have come via bonus points.  Three individuals are currently ranked in the top-10 of the NWCA rankings, led by 149-pounder Jimmy Davis who is ranked second. Guy Patron (197) is third while 285-pounder Quin Gilliam is sixth.

About Buena Vista:The Beavers are back in action for the first time since rolling to a 41-9 non-conference home victory over St. Olaf back on December 9.  That followed the team's 38-7 home loss to then 15th-ranked Coe College two nights earlier.  Juniors Brad Kerkhoff and Shane Vaughan have been two of the team's leaders this season and have a combined 75 career wins.  Freshman John Tuttle (149) is tied for third on the team with seven wins so far this season.   Vaughan and Kevin Pape are tied for the team lead with five pins apiece.

Up Next: After Friday's dual, the Beavers return to action on Wednesday, January 10, for an Iowa Conference road dual at Nebraska Wesleyan.  The Duhawks, meanwhile, will turn right around and host the Flash Flanigan Open on Saturday, January 6.
