Women's Golf in 14th after Opening Round of BVU Invite

Freshman Raelinn Arnold returned to the course for the Buena Vista women's golf team on Friday, as the Beavers teed-off in the opening round of their own Fall Invite out at Lake Creek Country Club.

Arnold posted an 85 in her first round since the Sail Classic to open the year and finds herself tied for 12th heading into Saturday's final round.  Fellow freshman Graysen Mechler is right behind in 14th after an 86.  Emily Kim carded a 91 and is tied for 36th as Nicole Rohner rounded out the line-up with a 123.  BVU was playing with just four golfers for the fifth straight round.

A total of 86 golfers are playing in the event along with 16 different teams.  BVU sits 14th following its round of 385.  Briar Cliff reached the clubhouse with the lead after a 327. Arnold and Mechler sit 11 and 12 shots back of individual leader Jamie Bellingham of DMACC.

Saturday's final 18 holes tee-off at 9:00am.
