Junior Emily Kim matched her opening round 83 on Saturday and remained tied for 18th place overall, as the Buena Vista women's golf team wrapped up its first competition outing of the new year.
Graysen Melcher had the low round for BVU, carding a pair of birdies on two of the last four holes to fire a 39 on the back round and finish with a career-best round of 80. She was just behind Kim in 22nd, tied with teammate Raelinn Arnold who turned in an 85 following her 83 on Friday.
A total of 66 golfers took part in the event, hosted by Luther College.
Katelyn Baltes (105) Nicole Rohner (114) rounded out the lineup for the Beavers, who took seventh overall. All nine Iowa Conference schools had teams taking part in the event, and the Beavers finished ahead of three of them.
BVU gets right back out on the course next weekend when it takes part in the Wartburg College Fall Invite at Prairie Links GC in Wavely (Sept. 9-10). First round action is set to tee-off at 12:00pm on Saturday.
