Men's Cross Country with a Trio of Personal Best Times at IIAC Championships

Three Buena Vista men's cross country runners posted their career-best time on Saturday, as the Beavers took part in the 2017 Iowa Conference Championships in Waverly, Iowa, hosted by Wartburg College.

Cameron Kaltschnee (30:15) and Zach Kenny (30:21) helped lead the way with Blake Patten (31:47) also posting his all-time best time.  Alex Loerts finished just in front of Patten in 30:52, as Josh Garcia and Kevin Blaha-Polson rounding out the BVU line-up.

A total of 168 runners took part in the 8k run at Max Cross Country Course.

Buena Vista finished with 283 points and finished ninth.  Loras College had all five point scores finish in the top-10, as the Duhawks tallied 24 points and took the team championship by 17 points over the host Knights.

BVU will next compete at the NCAA Regional Championship at Northfield, Minn., on November 11, starting at 11:00am.
