The Buena Vista men's soccer team was held to just three shots-on-goal by Minnesota-Morris on Saturday afternoon, and the Beavers were handed their second straight loss, falling to the Cougars, 2-0.
Minnesota-Morris broke a scoreless match near the midway point of the first half on a goal by Bona Usha. That's how things stood until the 61' when Joshua Bartels, who assisted on the first goal for the Cougars, found the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.
BVU was unable to get much going offensively, finishing with only nine total shots with two of its three shots-on-goal coming in the first half. Willy Salamanca had two of the team's nine attempts as seven players had one.
Manuel Garcia-Aguilar went the distance in-goal and is now 1-1 on the year.
Buena Vista dips to 2-3 overall and will look to get back into the win column when it visits Mt. Marty College on Wednesday afternoon for a 5:00pm match.
