Buena Vista freshman Anthony Gallagher had the best 36-hole tournament of his young BVU career, taking fifth overall at this weekend's Viking Invite, hosted by Bethany Lutheran.
Gallagher posted his second straight round in the 70's, closing out his final 18 holes with a 79. He was just five shots off the winning score. Fellow freshman Ryan Ruzek was right behind after his round of 81 placed him 12th. Andrew Underbrink turned in his second straight round of 84 while Evan Krause bettered his Friday score by eight strokes. Logan Madren also went 89 on Saturday which bettered his 91 from Friday
Overall, BVU shot a 324 which was one shot better than it began the event on Friday. It placed fourth as a team.
This weekend's event wraps up the fall schedule for the Beavers.
